Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate with clients to understand their travel preferences, requirements, and budgets.
- Provide personalized travel recommendations, including destinations, accommodations, transportation, and activities.
- Research and gather information about travel options, such as flights, hotels, car rentals, and travel packages.
- Create and customize travel itineraries based on client’s preferences and special requests.
- Book flights, accommodations, and other travel-related services using reservation systems.
- Coordinate with airlines, hotels, and other travel suppliers to confirm bookings and resolve any issues.
- Stay updated with travel regulations, visa requirements, and entry restrictions for various destinations.
- Assist clients with travel-related inquiries, changes, cancellations, and refunds.
- Handle payment processing, including collecting payments and issuing invoices or receipts.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, bookings, and financial transactions.
- Collaborate with team members to share insights, tips, and best practices to enhance the travel planning process.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Travel and Tourism or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Travel Consultant or similar role in the travel industry.
- In-depth knowledge of travel destinations, trends, and logistics.
- Familiarity with reservation systems and booking platforms.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to understand and cater to clients’ preferences.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in organizing travel itineraries and bookings.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is advantageous.
