Job Description:
We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Shipping Executive to join our team in Malta. The Shipping Executive will play a key role in managing the shipping and logistics operations for our company, ensuring timely delivery of goods and materials to our clients worldwide. Work Experience:
1-2 years of experience in the relevant field
Education & Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree/ High School / Secondary
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee the shipping and logistics operations for the company, including coordinating shipments, preparing shipping documentation, and arranging transportation for goods and materials.
- Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, and shipping carriers to ensure timely delivery of goods and materials to clients.
- Monitor shipping schedules and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues or delays that may arise.
- Prepare and maintain accurate shipping records, including shipping manifests, invoices, and customs documentation, in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with import and export regulations, including customs clearance procedures, tariffs, and trade agreements.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, procurement, and warehouse personnel, to coordinate shipping activities and optimize logistical processes.
- Provide timely updates and reports on shipping activities, including shipment status, delivery schedules, and performance metrics, to management and stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization in shipping and logistics operations.
- Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in shipping and logistics.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in shipping, logistics, or supply chain management, preferably in an international business environment.
- Strong knowledge of shipping procedures, import/export regulations, and customs documentation.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling shipping documentation and records.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Fluency in English is required; additional language skills are a plus.
- Must be eligible to work in Malta.
