Job Description:
As an Online Assistant at Sainsbury’s Ltd, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our online grocery shopping and delivery service. This position involves a variety of tasks, including picking and packing orders, preparing deliveries, and providing assistance to customers as needed.

Education & Qualification:

Key responsibilities include:
- Fulfilling customer orders accurately and efficiently, selecting products from the store inventory and packing them for delivery.
- Using handheld devices or scanners to locate and scan items for picking and packing.
- Ensuring that products are packed securely and according to company standards to prevent damage during transit.
- Loading delivery vans and preparing them for dispatch, including organizing orders for efficient delivery routes.
- Providing assistance and guidance to customers who have questions or issues with their orders, both in person and over the phone.
- Communicating effectively with colleagues and supervisors to coordinate order fulfillment and resolve any issues or concerns.
- Following all health and safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the warehouse and storage areas.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in retail, customer service, or warehouse operations is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Physical stamina to perform the duties of the job, including lifting and carrying heavy items.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with technology, including handheld devices and scanners.
