As a Laundry Assistant at Wilderness Safaris Saariselkä Oy, you will play a vital role in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and comfort that our guests expect. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Responsibilities:
- Laundry Operations: Operate commercial laundry equipment, including washing machines, dryers, and ironing machines, to ensure the timely cleaning and preparation of linens, towels, and other textiles.
- Quality Control: Perform quality checks on laundered items to ensure they meet our exacting standards for cleanliness and presentation.
- Sorting and Preparation: Sort and prepare laundry items for washing, paying close attention to special instructions and care labels.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of linen and towel inventories, and report shortages or damages to the supervisor.
- Safety and Hygiene: Adhere to all safety protocols and hygiene standards to ensure a safe and sanitary working environment.
- Team Collaboration: Work as part of a team to ensure the efficient operation of the laundry department and assist in other areas of the lodge as required.
- Customer Interaction: Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor when interacting with guests, providing assistance and addressing any laundry-related inquiries.
Qualifications:
- No prior laundry experience is necessary; we provide comprehensive training.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team.
- Physical fitness and stamina, as the role may involve standing, lifting, and moving laundry items.
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a strong work ethic.
- Proficiency in English is required; additional language skills are a plus.
