Job Description:
As a Laundry Assistant at Valo Hotel, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of our guests by maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation of our linens and textiles. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Responsibilities:
- Laundry Operations: Operate industrial laundry equipment, including washing machines, dryers, and ironing machines, to ensure the efficient cleaning and preparation of linens, towels, and other textiles.
- Quality Control: Conduct thorough quality checks on laundered items to ensure they meet the hotel’s stringent standards for cleanliness and presentation.
- Sorting and Preparation: Sort and prepare laundry items for washing, taking care to follow care instructions and handle delicate items with care.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of linen and towel inventories, and promptly report shortages or damages to the supervisor.
- Safety and Hygiene: Adhere to all safety protocols and hygiene standards to create a safe and sanitary work environment.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to ensure the efficient operation of the hotel’s laundry department and assist in other areas as needed.
- Guest Interaction: Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with guests, providing assistance and addressing any laundry-related inquiries.
Qualifications:
- No previous laundry experience is required; comprehensive training will be provided.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Physical fitness and stamina, as the role may involve standing, lifting, and moving laundry items.
- A positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a strong work ethic.
- Proficiency in English is required.
