Work Experience:

Education & Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree/ High School / Secondary
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting chefs and cooks in food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, dicing, and peeling vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients.
- Preparing basic food items, such as salads, dressings, sauces, and garnishes, according to established recipes and standards.
- Operating kitchen equipment and appliances, such as blenders, mixers, grinders, and food processors, safely and efficiently.
- Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen surfaces, utensils, equipment, and storage areas to maintain hygiene and food safety standards.
- Assisting with receiving, storing, and rotating food supplies and ingredients to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
- Supporting kitchen staff during service hours by replenishing supplies, restocking stations, and assisting with plate presentation.
- Following food handling procedures, portion control guidelines, and kitchen protocols to uphold quality and consistency in food preparation.
- Adhering to health and safety regulations, including proper hygiene practices and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training or relevant experience is a plus.
- Previous experience as a kitchen helper, commis chef, or similar role in a restaurant, hotel, or catering establishment is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen equipment, and sanitation practices.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks such as lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and working in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude, teamwork mentality, and willingness to learn and take direction from supervisors.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
- Authorization to work in Oman or willingness to obtain necessary permits or visas.
