The Gastroenterology Group Pte Ltd is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinic Nurse to join our team in Singapore. As a Clinic Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality nursing care and support to patients visiting our clinic for gastroenterology consultations, procedures, and treatments. Education & Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree/ High School / Secondary
Responsibilities:
- Assess patients’ health status, medical history, and symptoms, and collaborate with gastroenterologists to develop individualized care plans based on their needs and treatment goals.
- Assist with gastroenterology consultations, procedures, and treatments, including endoscopies, colonoscopies, and biopsies, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and privacy.
- Prepare patients for procedures, including obtaining consent, explaining the procedure process, and providing pre-operative instructions and medications as ordered.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs, sedation levels, and response to treatment during procedures, and provide appropriate nursing interventions and support as needed.
- Administer medications, intravenous (IV) fluids, and conscious sedation under the supervision of gastroenterologists, following established protocols and safety guidelines.
- Assist with specimen collection, labeling, and processing, and ensure timely and accurate documentation of results in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Educate patients and their families about digestive disorders, treatment options, and post-procedure care instructions, ensuring understanding and compliance.
- Perform nursing procedures, such as wound care, dressing changes, and medication administration, in accordance with clinic protocols and infection control guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness, sterility, and organization in procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including gastroenterologists, nurses, technicians, and administrative staff, to coordinate patient care and optimize outcomes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in nursing from an accredited institution.
- Valid nursing license or registration from the Singapore Nursing Board.
- Prior experience in gastroenterology, endoscopy, or procedural nursing preferred but not required.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and make sound nursing judgments in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with healthcare team members.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care, with a commitment to delivering high-quality and culturally sensitive nursing services.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional languages is an advantage.
