We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an IT Application Support Specialist at Bright Prospect Ltd in Malaysia. The IT Application Support specialist will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support for various software applications used within our organization and by our clients. This role requires individuals who are proficient in troubleshooting software issues, providing timely resolutions, and ensuring the smooth operation of critical business applications.

Work Experience:

Education & Qualification:

Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line technical support and assistance for software applications via phone, email, or in-person interactions.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot software issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with software developers and vendors to resolve complex technical issues and escalate unresolved issues as needed.
  • Monitor application performance, identify performance bottlenecks, and optimize application configurations to improve efficiency.
  • Install, configure, and maintain software applications, including performing upgrades, patches, and updates.
  • Document and maintain records of support requests, incidents, and resolutions in a ticketing system.
  • Communicate with end-users to understand their needs, provide training and guidance on application usage, and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, user manuals, and knowledge base articles for software applications.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in application support.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new applications, features, and enhancements as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in IT application support or a similar role, preferably in a corporate environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of software applications, databases, and operating systems.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting software issues and providing timely resolutions.
  • Familiarity with IT service management tools and ticketing systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality support services.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
