Job Description:

Marina Bay Sands is currently seeking a dedicated and service-oriented individual to join our team as a Hotel Assistant Cashier. As a key member of our Front Office team, you will be responsible for providing efficient and courteous cashiering services to our hotel guests, ensuring smooth and seamless transactions during their stay. Education & Qualification:

Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out procedures, including processing payments, issuing room keys, and providing information about hotel services and amenities.
  • Handle cash, credit card, and electronic payments accurately and securely, following established procedures and protocols.
  • Verify guest information and reservation details, ensuring accuracy and completeness in the hotel’s reservation system.
  • Assist guests with inquiries, requests, and concerns, providing prompt and courteous assistance to enhance their overall experience.
  • Balance cash register and reconcile daily transactions, ensuring accuracy and accountability in accordance with hotel policies and procedures.
  • Prepare daily cashier reports, including revenue summaries, transaction logs, and audit trails, for review by management.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization at the cashier counter and surrounding area, adhering to hygiene and safety standards at all times.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as Housekeeping and Guest Services, to address guest needs and resolve issues effectively.
  • Stay updated on hotel promotions, packages, and policies to provide accurate information and upsell hotel services to guests.
  • Participate in training programs and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance job knowledge, skills, and performance.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in cashiering, front office, or customer service roles preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail, with the ability to handle cash and perform calculations accurately.
  • Customer-focused mindset, with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional service and creating memorable guest experiences.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, especially during peak periods and busy shifts.
  • Flexibility to work on rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as required.
  • Singaporean citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work permit preferred.
  • Diploma or degree in hospitality management, business administration, or related field is an advantage.
