Education & Qualification:

Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and visitors warmly upon arrival at the clinic, and assist with registration, appointment scheduling, and completion of necessary forms and documentation.
  • Escort patients to examination rooms or treatment areas, ensuring their comfort and privacy, and preparing them for medical consultations or procedures as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Assist healthcare professionals with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments, including taking vital signs, recording medical histories, and preparing medical equipment and supplies.
  • Perform basic medical procedures under the supervision of healthcare professionals, such as administering medications, dressing wounds, collecting specimens, and performing simple diagnostic tests.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in examination rooms, treatment areas, and waiting areas, ensuring compliance with infection control and safety standards.
  • Manage patient flow and appointments effectively, coordinating with healthcare providers and administrative staff to minimize wait times and optimize clinic operations.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing clear instructions, answering inquiries, and offering support and reassurance as needed.
  • Assist with patient education and health promotion activities, including providing information about preventive care, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Document patient encounters, medical histories, and treatment plans accurately and comprehensively in electronic medical records (EMR) systems, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, and administrative staff, to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity of care.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or certificate in healthcare assistance, medical assisting, or related field preferred.
  • Prior experience as a clinic assistant, medical assistant, or healthcare support role preferred but not required.
  • Compassionate and empathetic demeanor, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities with attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling patient information and medical records.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and equipment is advantageous.
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays, as required.
  • Singaporean citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work permit.
