Work Experience:
1-2 years of experience in the relevant field
Education & Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree/ High School / Secondary
Key Responsibilities:
- Lifeguarding: Monitor and ensure the safety of guests in and around the swimming pool area.
- Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond immediately to water-related emergencies, including drowning or injuries.
- Rescue Operations: Perform water rescues when necessary, using lifeguarding techniques and equipment.
- CPR and First Aid: Administer CPR, first aid, or other necessary medical assistance as needed.
- Enforcement: Enforce pool rules and regulations to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all guests.
- Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain lifeguard equipment and report any issues.
- Guest Assistance: Provide assistance to guests, answer questions, and offer information about pool facilities.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Assist with pool area cleaning, including ensuring pool decks are clean and safe.
- Shift Handover: Communicate effectively with fellow lifeguards during shift handovers to ensure continuity of safety measures.
Qualifications:
- Certification: Current certification in lifeguarding, CPR, and First Aid from a recognized training organization.
- Experience: Prior lifeguarding experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Swimming Skills: Strong swimming skills and confidence in the water.
- Physical Fitness: Good physical condition and stamina to perform water rescues and respond to emergencies.
- Communication: Clear and effective communication skills in English.
- Observational Skills: Vigilant and attentive to details.
- Customer Service: A friendly and approachable demeanor when interacting with guests.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Adaptability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
