Work Experience:
1-2 years of experience in the relevant field
Education & Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree/ High School / Secondary
Key Responsibilities:
- Create original designs and develop seasonal collections that align with the brand’s aesthetic and market trends.
- Conduct research on fashion trends, consumer preferences, and market demands to inform design concepts.
- Sketch designs by hand or using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- Select fabrics, colors, and patterns for each design, ensuring the final product meets quality and aesthetic standards.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure designs are feasible and can be produced within budget and on schedule.
- Prepare detailed technical drawings and specifications for sample production.
- Oversee the creation of prototypes and adjust designs based on feedback from fittings and critiques.
- Attend fashion shows, trade fairs, and events to stay updated on industry developments and gain inspiration.
- Work closely with marketing and merchandising teams to develop cohesive brand strategies and promotional materials.
- Maintain a well-organized design portfolio and documentation of all design processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
- Proven experience as a fashion designer with a strong portfolio showcasing original designs.
- Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop).
- In-depth knowledge of garment construction, textiles, and manufacturing processes.
- Strong understanding of fashion trends and market dynamics.
- Excellent creativity and artistic ability.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
