Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with our dentists and other dental professionals to provide chairside assistance, perform dental procedures, and ensure the comfort and safety of our patients. Work Experience:
1-2 years of experience in the relevant field
Education & Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree/ High School / Secondary
Responsibilities:
- Assist dentists and dental hygienists during dental procedures, including preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing instruments, and handing instruments and materials to the dentist.
- Prepare patients for dental procedures by taking medical histories, recording vital signs, and explaining treatment plans and procedures.
- Take and process dental 3-rays, intraoral photographs, and impressions for diagnostic purposes and treatment planning.
- Perform basic dental procedures, such as applying fluoride treatments, placing dental sealants, and taking impressions for crowns and bridges.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, preventive dental care, and post-operative instructions.
- Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of dental equipment, instruments, and treatment areas in accordance with infection control protocols and regulations.
- Manage patient records and documentation, including updating medical histories, treatment plans, and progress notes in electronic health records systems.
- Assist with scheduling appointments, coordinating treatment plans, and communicating with patients regarding appointment reminders and follow-up care.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of patients and staff.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or certificate in Dental Assisting from an accredited program.
- Previous experience working as a Dental Assistant in a dental practice is preferred.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and infection control protocols.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patients and colleagues.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Proficiency in dental software and computer skills.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Qatar.
