Job Description:

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Computer Technician to join our IT support team. The Computer Technician will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, installing and configuring systems, and providing technical support to our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.

Education & Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree/ High School / Secondary

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support: Provide technical support to clients via phone, email, or in person. Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, diagnose problems, and implement solutions.
  • Hardware Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, including desktops, laptops, servers, and peripherals. Replace or upgrade components as needed.
  • Software Installation: Install, configure, and update software applications and operating systems. Ensure compatibility and adherence to licensing agreements.
  • Network Support: Assist with network setup, configuration, and troubleshooting. Troubleshoot connectivity issues and recommend solutions to optimize network performance.
  • Security: Implement security measures to protect systems and data from unauthorized access, viruses, and malware. Monitor systems for security threats and respond to incidents promptly.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of hardware and software inventory, configurations, and maintenance activities. Document troubleshooting steps and solutions for future reference.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service and support, building rapport with clients and ensuring their technical needs are met in a timely and professional manner.
  • Training and Education: Stay updated on the latest technology trends and developments. Provide training and education to clients and colleagues on new systems, software, and best practices.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Computer Technician or in a similar IT support role. Strong technical skills in hardware and software troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) are preferred but not required.
  • Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Availability: Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and on-call rotations as needed.
