Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented and customer-focused Barista to join our team and provide exceptional coffee and beverage service to our guests. The Barista will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages, as well as providing friendly and knowledgeable customer service. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering excellent hospitality experiences.

Education & Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree/ High School / Secondary

Key Responsibilities:

  • Beverage Preparation: Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, including espresso, cappuccino, latte, and specialty beverages, following recipes and standards for quality and consistency.
  • Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and provide friendly and attentive service throughout their visit, answering questions and making recommendations as needed.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all beverages are prepared to the highest standards of quality, flavor, and presentation, consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
  • Cash Handling: Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization in the café, including the coffee bar, equipment, and seating areas, following established cleaning protocols and sanitation standards.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, and other supplies, restocking items as needed and notifying management of any shortages or discrepancies.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay informed about coffee varieties, brewing methods, and flavor profiles, sharing your knowledge with customers and providing guidance on beverage selection.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other team members, including fellow baristas, kitchen staff, and managers, to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Prior experience as a Barista or in a similar customer service role is preferred but not required. Training will be provided to suitable candidates.
  • Customer Service Skills: Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor, able to engage with customers and create positive experiences.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organization, and presentation.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate the needs of the business.
