- Point of Sale (POS) Operation: Operate the POS system to process sales transactions, calculate prices, and apply discounts as necessary.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Payment Processing: Accept various forms of payment, including cash, credit cards, and digital payments. Verify and reconcile transactions.
- Receipts and Documentation: Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or changes to customers. Maintain accurate records of transactions.
- Balancing Cash Registers: Reconcile cash drawers at the end of each shift and ensure accurate accounting of all transactions.
- Product Knowledge: Stay informed about products, promotions, and company policies to effectively assist customers.
- Security: Monitor and report any suspicious activities or discrepancies in cash transactions.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Cashier or in a similar role.
- Strong numerical and mathematical skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Familiarity with POS systems and handling different forms of payment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling cash.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
