Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Laundry Machine Mechanic to join our maintenance team. As a Laundry Machine Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of laundry equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. Work Experience:
1-2 years of experience in the relevant field
Education & Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree/ High School / Secondary
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks on laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, ironers, and folding machines, according to manufacturer’s specifications and maintenance schedules.
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of laundry machines, including motors, belts, pumps, valves, and control systems.
- Troubleshoot issues with laundry equipment, identify root causes of problems, and implement effective solutions to restore functionality and minimize downtime.
- Perform routine inspections and tests of laundry machinery to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns or malfunctions.
- Coordinate with other members of the maintenance team to prioritize and schedule repairs and maintenance tasks to minimize disruption to laundry operations.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including work orders, parts inventory, and equipment history.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries during maintenance and repair activities.
- Provide training and guidance to laundry staff on proper operation and maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Stay informed about advancements in laundry technology and equipment, and participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or training in mechanical or electrical engineering is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a mechanic, preferably in a commercial laundry or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex machinery.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and specialized tools for maintenance and repair tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and interact with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Bahrain.
