Responsibilities:
- Procurement Strategy:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for operational materials and services, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing.
- Collaborate with project teams to understand operational requirements and specifications.
- Supplier Selection and Management:
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers of operational materials and services.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms.
- RFQ and Tendering:
- Prepare and issue requests for quotations (RFQs) and tender documents to operational suppliers.
- Analyze supplier responses and make informed recommendations for supplier selection.
- Cost Analysis:
- Conduct cost analysis and comparisons to determine the most cost-efficient operational procurement solutions.
- Ensure budget compliance and cost optimization.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that procured operational materials and services meet quality and performance standards.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to conduct inspections and testing.
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain optimal stock of operational materials.
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely availability.
- Procurement Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of operational procurement activities, contracts, and supplier communications.
- Prepare operational procurement reports and updates for management.
- Process Optimization:
- Identify opportunities for streamlining procurement processes and improving operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process enhancements.
- Health and Safety Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all operational procurement activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Procurement Engineer, with a focus on operational materials and services.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes and operational requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate and manage supplier relationships.
- Analytical mindset and proficiency in cost analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
- Fluent English communication; additional languages are a plus.
- Eligibility for visa sponsorship in the United Arab Emirates.
