Work Experience:

Education & Qualification:

Key Responsibilities:
- Circulation Services: Assist in the management of library materials, including checking in and out of books, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the organization and shelving of materials.
- Reference and Information Support: Provide assistance to library users by helping them locate and access resources, both physically and digitally. Answer general inquiries and direct users to appropriate resources.
- Cataloging and Metadata: Assist in cataloging and classifying library materials, ensuring that they are properly indexed and organized for easy retrieval.
- Acquisitions: Assist with the acquisition of new materials, including ordering, receiving, and processing new library resources.
- Assist with Library Events: Participate in library events and programs, including workshops, orientations, and exhibitions, as needed.
- Maintenance: Help maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the library space, including the arrangement of study areas and resources.
Qualifications:
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in library science, information science, or a related field is preferred. Relevant coursework or experience in library science is a plus.
- Experience: Prior experience in a library or information services environment is advantageous but not mandatory. Freshers with a strong interest in libraries and information services are encouraged to apply.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in library management software, Microsoft Office, and other relevant computer applications.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills to maintain an accurate and efficient library environment.
- Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
