Position Overview:
As a Forklift Operator at Confidential, you will play a vital role in our warehouse operations, responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials and products using forklift equipment. Work Experience:
1-2 years of experience in the relevant field
Education & Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree/ High School / Secondary
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Transport goods to designated storage areas or onto delivery vehicles, ensuring proper handling and secure placement.
- Inspect forklifts and other equipment before use to identify any defects or maintenance requirements, reporting issues to supervisors as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movement, including incoming and outgoing shipments, using electronic or manual tracking systems.
- Assist with inventory counting and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and timely identification of discrepancies.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff and supervisors to prioritize tasks, optimize workflow, and meet productivity targets.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling practices.
- Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge of warehouse operations and equipment operation.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification or training in forklift operation preferred.
- Proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Valid forklift operator license or certification from a recognized authority.
- Proficiency in operating different types of forklifts, including counterbalance, reach trucks, and pallet jacks.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and practices.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects safely and efficiently.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Flexibility to work in shifts and adapt to changing priorities as needed.
