Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Class Nanny to join our team at Dolphin Nursery in Ajman. The Class Nanny will play a crucial role in supporting the classroom teacher and providing care and supervision to young children during their time at the nursery. Education & Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree/ High School / Secondary
Responsibilities:
- Assist the classroom teacher in implementing age-appropriate educational activities and routines
- Provide care and supervision to children in the classroom, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Help children with daily routines, including meal times, diapering, toileting, and nap times
- Engage children in play-based learning activities that promote physical, cognitive, and social-emotional development
- Foster a nurturing and supportive environment where children feel secure, valued, and respected
- Observe and assess children’s behavior, interests, and progress, reporting any concerns or observations to the classroom teacher
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports the diverse needs of all children
- Communicate effectively with parents, providing updates on their child’s day and addressing any questions or concerns
- Assist with classroom setup, cleaning, and organization to maintain a safe and inviting learning environment
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working with young children, preferably in a nursery or childcare setting
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices
- Compassionate, patient, and nurturing demeanor with a genuine love for children
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow directions from the classroom teacher
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations related to childcare
- Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus
- CPR and first aid certification preferred
