Work Experience:
1-2 years of experience in the relevant field
Education & Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree/ High School / Secondary
Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians in providing medical care to animals, including dogs, cats, and other pets.
- Prepare examination rooms and treatment areas, ensuring they are clean and well-equipped for procedures.
- Greet and interact with clients and their pets in a friendly and professional manner.
- Restraining animals during examinations, treatments, and procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinary team.
- Assist with laboratory procedures, including collecting and processing samples.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for each animal.
- Provide support during surgical procedures, including preparation and post-operative care.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in all areas of the clinic.
- Educate clients on proper animal care and post-treatment instructions.
- Assist in monitoring animals’ health and behavior, reporting any concerns to the veterinary team.
- Participate in clinic promotions, events, and community outreach initiatives.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- Passion for animals and a strong commitment to their well-being.
- Ability to handle animals with care, patience, and empathy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic knowledge of animal care, health, and behavior.
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to work well within a team environment.
- Flexibility to work on weekends and during peak clinic hours.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
