Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team. The Housekeeping Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping department, including supervising housekeeping staff, coordinating cleaning schedules, and ensuring that guest rooms and public areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. Work Experience:
1-2 years of experience in the relevant field
Education & Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree/ High School / Secondary
Responsibilities:
- Supervise housekeeping staff and ensure that they adhere to established policies, procedures, and standards of cleanliness.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to housekeeping staff, including cleaning guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas.
- Conduct inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure that they meet cleanliness standards and address any issues or deficiencies promptly.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as front office and maintenance, to ensure timely responses to guest requests and maintenance issues.
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment and submit requisitions for replenishment as needed.
- Train and mentor housekeeping staff on proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and customer service standards.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching to housekeeping staff to support their professional development and growth.
- Respond to guest inquiries and concerns in a prompt and courteous manner and take appropriate action to resolve issues and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to housekeeping operations, including cleaning schedules, inventory levels, and staff attendance.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in housekeeping, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of housekeeping principles, practices, and techniques.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
- Flexibility to work varying hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Dubai.
